Math

I have been studying for the math placement exam so that I hopefully won't have to retake any math I have already had(13-15 yrs ago. It's really got me wondering. Did I really know all this? How come I have to ask my 12 and 13 year olds questions? And more importantly, how come they can answer them? Aren't I suppose to be helping them with their math?
